Welcome to Winnebago Elementary School, home of the Eagles!
My name is Shari Lazor. I’m honored and excited to be the new principal of Winnebago Elementary School. This will be my first year in Marquardt School District 15. Previously, I was an assistant principal in Park Ridge District 64. Before that, I taught a K-2nd multi-age classroom, 4-6th grades, EL, and early literacy programs.
I look forward to learning and collaborating with my students, teachers, and families that make Winnebago home. Our school is passionate about student learning and helping every child become a life long learner. School is a safe place for students to be curious learners where exploration, mistakes, and collaboration are honored. We do this by building a positive community focused on growth mindset. By partnering together, we can continue excellence at Winnebago and build opportunities for students to grow and succeed. I thank you in advance for your continued commitment to your child’s school experience.
Winnebago has approximately 470 students in preschool through fifth grade. We have a wonderful PTO; we welcome all parents to attend meetings and get involved! Winnebago also has many opportunities for extra-curricular activities for students starting in third grade including: Ambassador’s Club, Band and Orchestra, Battle of the Books, Bilingual Book Club, Book Club, Chorus, Intramurals, Safety Patrol, and Young Authors. These clubs are a great way for our older students to get involved in their school.
Our mission at Winnebago Elementary School is to create a safe and supportive environment where all members can learn and grow to their greatest potential.
Everyone at Winnebago is organized and prepared to help each other learn more and more every day.
Always feel free to contact me anytime. My email address is firstname.lastname@example.org and my phone number is 630-351-3416.
